Already seeing some slight folds :( i am right now at my leanest so i dont know it is because of my fatloss or retin-a use at that place
the question is: does it makes worse (because retin-a = fatloss or more collagen = better skin and less fold right? )

it has reduced my nasolabial folds, although it was along with weightloss so it might not be the main aspect.

gonna apply retin-a now

Fat loss & bloat can either reduce or worsen the appearance of nasolabial folds. It is dependent on your bones. You have prominent but low set cheek bones it looks like to me, I do too and when I get to rly low body fat levels I get the same thing. So yea just a guess based on this picture, but to me it looks like your folds are due to weightloss in the face. Are the undereye lines new as well?

Got it, well either way I wouldn't worry about it. Collagen is worth it, think of it like frontloading. More collagen you have now when you're younger then longer you'll retain and more you'll have to ride out on as you age. Should use tretinoin the rest of your life.

Whether it is weightloss or bloat, I would recommend using some topicals with hyaluronic acid & niacinamide. Hyaluronic acid helps temporarily fill in wrinkles so you can use that daily and niacinamide over time aids not only in collagen production but strengthens the skin barrier so it will hold in moisture better making lines like the folds diminish. Niacinamide made a huge difference for me.

I have the same problem. Wide perminant cheek bones but low set & I got the same folds

ever notice if you pull up on ur skin with ur fingers they go away?

wonder if it’s bloat for me too or it’s due to me getting leaner

A nasolabial fold is typically caused by a collapsing of the nasolabial fat pad, and the malar fat pad. Retin-A is a topical solution that only addresses the outer layer of the skin - the epidermis. The cause of a nasolabial fold relates to a structural imbalance of the subcutaneous tissue, which is sub-dermal. Retin-A is not going to address the underlying cause of a nasolabial fold.

There only solutions that are FDA approved to treat a nasolabial fold is having the fold injected with fat, hyaluronic acid, calcium hydroxylapatite, poly-l-lactic acid, or surgically treated with an endoscopic mid-face cheek lift.

no point in losing more, 14%-15% is really fine and under that its just too little
gymcel and find out the source of your bloating

What brand do you use? The ordinary is the most commonly available/cheap where I live. Is the ordinary a good brand?

How old are you? You could try using fin or dut not only to save your hair but it dht can cause acne and enlarged prostate as you age

I am 18 so Fin is not a good choice right now

Mirin those eyebrows though.

As for folds, skincare is cope IME.

Go for the softmaxxing route (fillers, kybella injections) or the surgical route (fat grafts, midface lift)

Edit: don't consider midface lifting at 18, that's stupid, I say go for fat grafts for permanent effects, or find a surgeon willing to inject Kybella above the mandible

I have two products that contain it, my Cosrx AHA 7 Whitehead Power Liquid I use at night time & I also use Tree Of Life Niacinamide serum when I am cycling the AHA. It contains glycolic acid which is powerful exfoliator which works great for me but can at times be a bit irritating depending on weather.

The Ordinary seems like a popular brand so if that's all you can get go for it. I personally try to stick to using korean beauty products as they have better filler ingredient standards as skincare is a huge trend there, they are all easy to get off Amazon.

Everyone says the research indicates that it reduces nasolabial folds. My imo and the experience of many people, they increased, there's definitely something going on

My nasolabial folds have reduced, I've used retin-a, lost weight, and I stopped barely moving my mouth when talking. Idk if the last one had a difference.

You already know you’re good looking, why are you even asking this question.

enjoy your fucking youth, do a skincare routine regardless of what it fixes and what it doesn’t fix and leave it at that

Then listen to this
You only need a skincare routine until your 30’s of course do retin A, face wash and moisturiser etc. When you in 30’s look into other stuff

and maybe get leaner
