does shin splints mean im growing?

im 5'10 at 16.5 years old and i get horrible shin splints when i walk or run, and just general pain in my legs, i had a big growthspurt at 14 but havent grown much since, my dad is 6'1 and my mom is 5'1

unless you're doing anything crazy on the side you didnt mention, it's likely growing pains or just your body telling you to start doing healthier habits for ya joints.

idk much but when i used to have it it was like almost permanent pain like even if u walk
