this is just something im curious on, if you were 5’5 and grew to 5’10 would you have to eat the same calories as a 5’10 man or would energy requirements stay the same?

It would obviously change, since your muscles, vessels etc are also stretched (ultimately bigger)

yeah but only within the leg, thigh or shin, most of the body remains the same

"only", that is most of the body
yeah i mean TDEE would raise but it wouldnt be comparable since the torso is that of a 5’5 male

it would increase very slightly but not to the same extent as a person who was naturally 5'10 the increase would be mainly from a small increase in BMR from the additional bone mass and a slightly higher energy expenditure when walking/running nothing else

means absolutely nothing, u asked does it change? >yes , not significant though >that would obviously depend on the values we're talking about

who was naturally 5'10
doesn't mean anything, some people have longer torsos some people have longer legs, wider, diff MBR's etc at the same height

thats a very specific theoretical person to have the exact same proportions as a 5'5 man but with just long legs, im sure youd agree that in general a 5'10 man will have larger organs, muscle mass, bone size etc than a 5'5 man
