Does starting to see some facial hair indicates that my height growth is ending (I'm 16)

I started to see some facial hair on my chin and above my lips, also very little on cheeks. I am 16 and my growth plates are still open, but I heard that facial hair indicates that the growth is slowing. Is it true?

Not true as far as I know, I'm 13 and I have a moustache, light goatee, sideburns and am starting to grow cheek hair too.
(turning 14 in 3 months, 5'11, and am ethnic so maybe that's an ethnic thing)

When did you stop growing? I also got facial hair around 14 and also my last growth spurt happened around then
