While it may decrease, it's never going to ever be enough.

It's actually a pretty well studied phenomenon.

Let's say you pine over a new PC for months, and you finally get that PC.

You're satisfied with it for a week or something.

But you get used to it.

And eventually you want something better.

Similar thing happens with looking better.
