Does therapy work?

Is therapy even worth it when the therapist never tells you what to fix but except all they do is just comfort you?

Therapists are like people who twist a bag except for tying it, the twisting will open back up but if you tie it, it will stay tied until somebody opens it, what im trying to get at is, why do they comfort you except for offering a solution.

I saw this one very brutal clip of a sub5 girl that got rejected by everysingle guy shes tried talking to, so her solution to this problem was going to her therapist and asking them "why?"
The therapist except telling the truth, they comfort her saying she is beauiful she just hasnt found the right person....
Why dont they just be blunt and honest and then offer up a fix for their patients problem? Why are they blatantly lying and not fixing the main issue. They can do the simplest thing like advising her to get more fit by going to the gym, telling her to do her hair, or find a new style. It honestly isnt that hard to be blunt with somebody and help them fix their issue.
