i was in class and sitting close to me was some girl whom i've never seen before, when i positioned my eyes to look at her (she was like 2 tables away to the left and forward) i caught her staring at me, i didn't look at her before so i know for a fact she was staring me, didn't look disgusted either and she still stared like 2 seconds after i started looking at her so i turned around

Tbh I thought this with a girl in school a few years ago. Even once I swear her friends were looking at me and smiling as I walked past

This was in 2019/20 when I was 16. My fear of rejection is too high, especially in school, and I didn't know if we were just making eye contact coincidentally, or she was because I was or whatever.
