Alright so for the last decade my mom who divorced my dad was receiving a certain amount of money from him, and she (I guess as a result we, her children) would save some money every month and after a while that turned into thousands of dollars. Another thing he left some real estate and said that it was ours (not just hers).

My question is it fair that my mom is saying that that money is all hers and that I should make my own money? She said it was because she was the one in charge so the money belongs to her. Now from a legal standpoint I can't get that money so that's off the table, but from a humanity standpoint is that fair?
