does Thumbpulling make ur palate narrow

i have heard (if ur sutures are open and all that) that when u Thumbpull it will create a narrow palate Instead of (with lateral Thumbpulling) a wider palate

Will it widen ur Palate if ur sutures arent closed or nah?
