Short answer yes it works

The idea behind thumb pulling is to create tensile force on the mid-palatal suture. And yes it is indeed effective. Just as orthodontic devices are effective, thumb pulling is also effective-arguably even more so.

wow this nigga is coping hard

I'm sick of people calling it cope. It's obvious that it works. It's not about the duration of the expansion, it's about the momentum and force to break the palatal suture.

Yep. I also use pliers, I feel it’s stronger than thumbs

I've seen this thread too. But the thing is that the shape of the pliers doesn't allow you to do this. Instead of pressing on the area next to the gum, you press on the teeth.

I call these areas on the pliers "ears". This is the area where you put pressure on your teeth.

There are also other forms of pliers.

These ears are not here, but I haven't tried them with those.

@soggra if you edit the shape of the pliers, it will be suitable for expanding the palate - that is, for breaking the seam.

Why people even call it cope in the first place?

I mean I read some thread about it here and even a study about it (not specifically about thumbpulling, but the expansion of the palate by your hands only) and it showed it was cope mostly, since you need way more time and force to actually get significant results than people usually are doing.

Is there any thread that explains more benefits rather than just palete expansion? My palete is well developed, what im lacking is lower jaw.

Explain why it doesn’t work then
for thumbpulling to show the slightest bit of effectiveness youd have to do it constantly nonstop with significant force applied, thats what palate expanders do, they apply constant pressure

but i doubt you're gonna thumbpull with harsh force for hours nonstop thru the day, and that being the case, it doesn't work buddy

This has already been debunked. Intermittent (cyclical) pressure actually elicits a much better response from the facial bones. Simply put, continuous pressure leads to desensitization of the mechanosensitive cells— such as Piezo channels-making them significantly less responsive over time. As a result, there is reduced activation of the Runx2 gene, which in turn lowers the rate of bone formation at the sutures

this the most retarted method promoted by the sub5s god *Oscar Patel*
it could work maybe after 50y of doing it non stop, or never, changing adult skull bone structure isn’t realistic, bone is not like bloating or fat,
Ropemaxxing is better than this shit

How much time would you suggest to spend everyday thumb pulling?

1-5 minutes every hour

The consistency matters more than the time

For example doing it 1 minute every hour for 12 per day (so 12 minutes a day) would be better than doing for 15 minutes once per day

Thumb pulling doesnt work you low IQ individual. You'd have to constantly apply force in the same specific area 24/7 while making sure the gap doesnt close. 1 you cant produce enough force with your fingers, 2 if ur bones are fused nothings happening and 3 your not going to be constantly applying force and increasing that force over the course of the day it just isnt happening

All of your claims have already been debunked

For your first claim

For your second claim

Most cranial sutures don’t fully close until around 90 years old

For your 3rd claim

clinical studies on animals have shown that only a few minutes of daily loading were sufficient to significantly stimulate suture growth.

I expect better from a 2023cel. Maybe all the years have caused him to go schizo 🤔

Fucking hell ur an idiot send sources for all of this right now.

Intermittent cyclical pressure ur clearly confused about. This is the technology used in palletal expanders which still exert constant force which stops the pallet from closing and allows the new bone growth then you have to increase the force and separate again. All this bs about histones and methylation of genes is just random and you have zero sources for it

My second claim is completely correct as sarpe is needed when the palletal bones fuse. No idea why ur coping show ur thumpulling results if its true 90 is an outrageous claim :lul: like your body has spare resources to start fusing bones at 90 years old are you sane.

Key word animals do you know what animal? some animals have softer bones than humans easier to move and manipulate if your just going to write senseless claims just delete ur account.

Brother your an idiot. tell me how from this you came to the conclusion thumbpulling works. This is showing that a palletal expander works or constant force from bands and braces not using your fucking thumbs which is so inaccurate ur bound to make asymmetries even if it does work

Your literally proving yourself wrong

Yh humans are animals. An individual species of animal, jellyfish and humans are both animals insects and humans are both animals wheres the simularities they cant use chimps anymore. Dont tell me they used rats in the study :lul::lul:
