you probs can get a expander after, the particular device used for expanding forward is a fagga appliance. its not as effective as getting jaw surgery

You need it before braces because an expander puts a gap in your front teeth

you can wear braces twice, i wouldn't use that fagga expander that i brought its not FDA approved its just the only way you could possibly do forward growth without surgery. getting bone growth from just non-surgical orthodontics after childhood is a debated topic anyway so your best bet if you want forward growth is just surgery.

yeah your best bet is to just get straight up jaw surgery if you want results rather then pushing science by using palate expanders as an adult to grow bone
