Does University ranking even matter for non-Business majors?

Except for Business and sometimes Law it doesn't matter at all imo

Going to a good school will definitely be advantageous for career prospects. But IMO what matters SIGNIFICANTLY more is how you spend your time at uni. Join clubs, do research, projects, internships, network, all that shit and you should be fine. This is my biggest regret.

If it gives you any solace, I graduated from a Top 20 in STEM but I did absolutely nothing with my time at Uni and barely graduated. I currently have 0 career prospects and I know of people who went to much lower ranked schools than me and were able to gain employment in FAANG tier companies upon graduation.

Location is also a big factor for STEM career prospects.
