Does working out at the gym at a young age use you’re hormones to grow muscles instead of focusing on overall growth? Hormones like testosterone and growth hormones.

I only know that over 60 minutes of high-intensity training spikes cortisol which lowers test and also that working out spikes testosterone so that it can use it for muscles. But I’m curious on how it connects with growth hormones, dht and if it uses a large margin of these included with my nutrition for muscle growth instead of bone growth.

It has no effect on your height, unless you exercise with heavy weight that damages your spine and posture

But I’ve read that it does direct some growth hormones to muscles to support muscle growth and also uses testosterone to build muscle and in puberty every single hormone that i could get is a advantage not only for height but overall bone growth.

It does but the amount of growth hormones you produce from working out isn‘t enough to make you taller, at the end of the day height is mostly genetics and diet.

No I’m not saying working out produces growth hormones but asking if the body uses the hormones to build the extra muscle mass. If it does use even a small amount of it wouldn’t it be better to not train, just as you said the growth hormone produced doesn’t even help so its better to begin later right?

Oh sorry, didn’t had my glasses on. The hormones from working out definetly do support muscle mass, you still have to eat, but they do have their impact, according to my friend who worked as a personal coach in a gym. The sooner you begin, the better, working out as a teen is ideal

i dont think gym is bad when ure a teen, i do kind of know that wrestling can affect it - since ur posture is kind of low and bent when ure wrestling so thats why many wrestlers are midgets

No but staying sedentary might

No i agree that engaging in a sport or being active is good but iam just concerned about the effect of gym at a young age

Its not harmful, just use common sense, don't lift too much that youll get injured and dont use roids
