A lot of people will be quick to call this out as a “bad mentality” but the drop in QOL (quality of life) once you start working full-time - as an adult - seems brutal.
Breaks and holidays are limited, nobody cares about your physical or mental wellbeing, everything revolves around “grinding” and pretending like everything will be worth it in the end, the novelty of learning and growing wears off pretty fast, etc…
I’m 21 now and I feel like even if I did create a genuinely fun life for myself now, it wouldn’t even remotely compare to what I could have experienced from say 13 to 16/17.
