I see people use the word blackpill and looksmaxxing interchangeably which never made sense to me. Essentially the blackpill is the belief that everything is genetic and there's nothing you can do about it, looksmaxxing on the other hand is attempting to change your genetic fate through surgery or other means.

They quite literally contradict themselves. I see a better argument for looksmaxxing being associated with the whitepill tbh. You're working with what you have to try to make the best of your reality, that makes a lot more sense

Being blackpilled just means that you have the awareness that looks are the most important factor in dating. It is possible to improve your looks and improving them will therefore improve your life, to what degree is debatable.

There are looksmaxxes that go around your genetic base (e.g surgeries, roids etc).

But yeah, it does contradict itself but none of us really are 100% blackpilled.

That would be the TikTok definition of the term, blackpill generally means that everything in life is predetermined by your genetics. So even down to stuff like your social status location personality or your neurological disorders are all determined from birth.

This is the most nuanced definition I can think of, otherwise the blackpill would be easily debunkable just by the fact that people like clav (who is objectively attractive yet struggles to land an attractive woman) exist

Looksmaxxing does not change toir genetics. Rather it simply utilises your genetic base to the fullest potential

The amount you can change your looks through surgery or pharmacology is also determined by genetics. Some people are hyper-responders to steroids for example, while for others it barely has an effect. The same goes for any other possible looksmax inlcuding softmaxxes.

What you are talking about isnt genetic determinism but excuses to LDAR which is not what blackpill is.

honestly whether it's genetic or not. it doesn't change how most of it was outside of your control.
your mother's diet when she was pregnant with you, her age, your father's age at that time. all of these are outside of your control. even after being born, up to 14 years old, most of the time you don't control what you eat.

To be blackpilled is to believe in genetic determinism. You can still believe in the blackpill and looksmax; to looksmax and to be blackpilled, are not mutually exclusive.
