exactly. i mean i dont condone abusing animals i think its fucked up but i dont really care, i would understand if it was their pet or the pet of someone they know or an animal that they have some kind of relationship with or know, but excess empathy for individuals of another species that you dont even know is just straight up unnatural and peculiar. society has just brainwashed people into worshipping dogs because companies can make a lot of money off of dog food/toys/vet bills
