Not everyone has money to fall back on. Many people need to work, even in first world countries.

But wageslaving isn't as grim as that video makes it out to be even. I think there's something up with "hyperoptimization" copers.

Like, that dude spends 18 hours a day doing all that; the most boring repetitive stuff. No adventure... no.... life. And time keeps passing. I think that's what makes it all so much more brutal for all of us to bear witness to.

He will end up exactly where he is, if he keeps doing the same stuff.

I think the takeaway is that he is not willing to move towards breaking free of his constraints. Doesn't seem to network or have a laugh with anyone throughout the day (noticeable norwooding and no gf to go back to at the end of the day).

I think that's what freaks everyone out.

I'm gonna coin this genre of people as "hyperoptimization copers" or "I❤️mymorningcoffeecels".

What do y'all think of this new breed of hypernormie LLTNs?

Oh trust me I'm poor as shit but I have avoided becoming wageslave. Easiest way is getting seasonal work. A lot of is very entry level and doesn't pay a lot, but with some training some of it pays quite a bit more. Like being a ski instructor, etc. The drawback is I'm on move most of the time and I don't have much in savings but I'd rather be free. Plus I can't complain about boredom because of how often my life changes. I don't mind because I despise routine. In my case I found work that I really enjoy and I still have around 6 months where I'm completely free. I'm essentially dicking around and I have no real career to speak of but I'd rather be a crazy bum living in a shack in the woods than some drone just waiting to die and watching life rather than living. To each their own I guess.

It's literally human cattle. This guy has no freedom and he has resigned himself to that fate. His life is unending misery and not only does he accept it, he can't even find it in him to complain about it, instead opting to try and convince himself that he "likes" this.
He is a completely defeated man and will die with more regrets than dollars he ever accumulated.

Some people are born for this. To some it's the best. I have met many like him and I could not call them happy, but they were seemingly contented with their lot. But for many this life is unthinkable. If you look at evolution, this sort of life is very antithetical for what we've done for millions of years. Even when compared to most animals humans are incredibly weird. We as society have more in common with ants and bees than any great ape or animal that is genetically closely related to us.

95% are fine with this life.

Then there are the 4.5% of complete losers who turn NEETs cause they can't handle this life and socializing (all the NEETs on this forum)

The rest 0.5% are aristocrats actually predestined for more then this.

I'm trying to farm zoomer engagement lol:lul: (main reason)

Seems normal but god I couldn't imagine sticking to it for too long either. And if every day is as low interaction and hyperoptimized as the guy shows in the vid, it leaves little room for anything else in life.

I guess people subconsciously map this onto his whole life, when maybe he does some cool stuff on the weekends, and this is just a "typical day". Who knows, maybe he's just in 3-4 days a week.

Either way, there's something eerily placated about the whole tone of the vid. Like, shows the mundanity of software dev jobs. He's doing all this while Senior Management are out playing golf deciding how to split the bonus pool between themselves.

Honestly. I get kinda triggered a bit because of how complicit/complacent he seems with everything. There's not one cut scene of him doing necessary yet scary things like networking with people he doesn't like. Based on the vid, I can only ASSUME that he does the same thing every day and doesn't push for growth. But that's something I can't assume.

It's really the way he says "all this seems boring but I am happy". Just makes me go HELL NAH. Would drive me insane. But I cannot judge. I do judge. But I can't.

True yeah, everything is really a personal decision and it's always hard to make them.

Guy in the vid has a really nice commitment to his health, but stuck in a weird comfort paradox imo. Only works 6 hours a day with a 2 hour lunch break.

Would be cool if he made a "typical Saturday" video ngl.

But looking at it objectively. He's doing 30hrs max of work per week. If getting paid well, maybe he's smarter than all of us. Interns at Jane Street or Citadel, or even at some law firms will do 70-100hours a week incl some Saturdays and getting work calls on their personal number etc.

Seems like no one bothers this dude.

These type of videos usually only show the nice bits. I doubt he'd make a video showing him doing overtime or dealing with office politics. Granted he lives in France and they do have good laws for workers.

Wonder if he has friends, then he can cope better, but this lifestyle looks terrifying to me, commuting one hour, coming home late at night to an empty house, not even a pet. Yeah he's athletic and all but doesn't seem like he does anything else, in terms of hobbies. Yeah it would be interesting to see how he spends a free day.

He's literally with people all day. fucking normies and their ragefuel.

"Muh excellent peaceful minimalist life" or "complete COPE"
from the video, he works 8 hours a day, from 9-7 with a 2 hour lunch break. he has a 1 hour commute each way and is probably senior and earning ~50-60k euros. he gets home at 8pm. this is a strange way to break up his day but his job seems peaceful (some sort of video editing at a corporation). wasting your day with a 2 hour lunch break seems silly instead of making your day 9-4.30 or 5, at the latest.

from all that socializing, his social skills are probably good. that seems to be the biggest benefit of a having a job; the mundanity of work and constant interactions make you low inhib.

I wake up every morning at 7:55 am. I open my laptop at 8:05 am in bed. I eat breakfast around 09:00-09:30. I put myself on ''Away'' on Teams at 12:50, when I go out to a restaurant to get something to eat there or take out. At 02:10 pm I return to the laptop, and at 04:59 pm I close the laptop

At this point I'm full of energy, and I can do absolutely anything I want with my time and my life until 1-2 am when I go to bed at the latest, having all the things around the house already taken care of during working hours

On Fridays we have short program from 08:00 until just 02:00 pm. I work hybrid, so I have to go 2 days a week physically to the office, so then I wake up at 07:00 am, take a private company bus at 07:35 am, and get to the office at 07:58. I get home around 05:30-05:45 pm depending on traffic

At this point, I could never work more than 4-6 months into this guy's program and lifestyle..

Bro's in the worst possible spot

He doesn't work shifts so he can work less at night, have more money, and more time to stay at home so he can have a family (even if it's at the sacrifice of health and sleep), but he also doesn't work hybrid or remote so he can have more free time to do things around the house during work hours, so after work he can have time to spend time with his family

At this rate, stuck here, bro will never see anything like this when he gets home..
