Dollar Store Retinol 😭

Ight i know this is a stupid ass post but i bought this dollar tree retinol skin serum that has like two oils that you need to mix everytime before use and its like purple and pink, ik really stupid, but im genuinely wondering if this even works as a good retinol serum or is my skin like gonna melt off (cant send a photo until tommorow im tired as hell) and whats difference between retinol cream and serum??
