And yes, this applies to myself in this very post lol.

When you really think about it, many people giving their extreme, negative, or even positive thoughts are just in a certain period of their lives where they truly believe what they say. When I read my old posts I don't think exactly the same as I did, and in a few years I will think a little, or maybe a lot, different than I do know.

I've thought of this whenever someone says that "if you have to even try, then you won't ever be as happy as X rich Chad". Do you think the person who said that will live life until he's 80 with that mindset? If you ask him in 40 years about that same thing he used to say, he'll probably say that he was wrong

Very interesting how almost everything changes.

yes, but it's not that water lol. Many people don't think about this too much when they are given any extreme perspective of life

When I realised this a few years ago, I then realised that when I have beliefs I need to think about how this belief could change as I mature and whether it's something I'd forever hold to regardless of mind altering experiences.

Helps a lot to think in multiple different perspectives honestly.

I'm not sure. I've gotta admit I have been a little misguided into just accepting "reality" in forums like this.

People here tend to be way too extreme and whenever somebody questions what their belief is, they attack you and make you think you're just coping lol.

I've been a victim of social proof

that's very good, I'm starting to apply that more in my life. I can do it when I think with pure logic, but then I get controlled by my emotions

When I have a bad day it's very difficult for me to believe there's a good future for me

yeah lol, is certainly interesting how impermanent these things are - rarely do we notice it though. I also really appreciate your example of the "If you have to try, it's over" because it makes me depressed as apeshit and you have lifefuel commentary on it.

Bump to this post 🥹
