overhyped skin routines are a massive trap. you pile on creams, serums, acids each promising miracles, “glow,” youth, perfection. at first, it feels like you’re fighting back, like you’re doing something to fix the problem. but it’s mostly placebo. a ritual to hide the truth no one wants to face: no product can erase genetics or social rejection.

what’s worse, these chemicals mess with your hormones and skin’s natural balance. retinol, exfoliants, and even “natural” oils trigger inflammation. your skin freaks out breakouts, dryness, irritation. then you buy more products to “fix” that damage, and the cycle repeats. your skin becomes a battlefield, not a canvas.

you think you’re improving, but you’re trapped in a loop of dependency and denial. spending money, time, and hope on surface fixes while the deeper pain stays buried. no cream or serum will change how cold the world treats you or erase the loneliness staring back from your reflection.

this isn’t self-care, it’s cope. a desperate distraction from the blackpill truth that sometimes, no amount of lotion or chemical peel will save you from what’s broken inside.

if youre gonna buy any skincare products, get the byoma oil cleanser + undereye serum + brightening serum + rich moisture cream. its like $10-15 per bottle, they last multiple months because its not diluted bs, and they work better than anything else. anything over $25 is simply not worth it, if you want retinol just buy tazarotene on indiamart for less than $3 a month.
