Keypoints:
I was originaly doing a 24 hour fast but it ended up being 36 hours. i started the day normally, but i was really focusing on hydration so i was drinking lots of water.

It is important to note that i was only doing this to lose weight so dont tell at me for sort of breaking the fast with some gum.

Nutrition:
I had 1 glass of water with salts for electrolytes trough the day. I had a white monster and a glass of water with lime juice and cucumbers.
I had some sugar free gum because the cravings troughout the day became intense.

The first half of the day went fine, just some mild cravings, but at when the afternoon came around i was literally sweating for something to eat but i powered trough.

The problem came the next day in the morning, i woke up a bit dizzy and felt like i was going to puke. I went in the shower to see if that would help and it did! For a little while atleast.

It was a school day so i made some oats to eat for breakfest, but just couldnt fucking eat. I felt the puke coming when i looked at the food and i just stood up and walked to the middle of the floor and threw up my guts all over the fucking floor and felt terrible the whole fucking day. I had to Sleep trough the whole day not to puke more.

Update
I had to break the fast with fruit juice because i couldnt eat, but i am ok now.

Ending
dont fucking starvemax

theres a difference between starving and fasting

imho full fasting (water only) is ridiciously hard, unless you have elite willpower or have something that can distract you, I absolutely have to drink black coffee, tea, smoke cigarettes or go on nicotine pouches to curb my appetite.

24-36 hours are okay, but you need strong eating windows, or else you will absolutely lose muscle in the long term.

16-8 (fast 16, 8 hour eating window) is the best fasting method thats socially flexible, I set it up so that I eat between 12 PM and 8 PM meaning I can partake in social settings like lunch, dinner etc. this is my go to on a daily basis anyway.

20-4 is also fine, albeit the smaller eating window means you need to eat well.

absolutely make sure to double or triple down on fat, fasting for long periods switches your body to ketosis (burning fat for energy due to lack of glucose), most people crash because they dont eat enough fat during eating windows~60–75% of calories (for deep ketosis) and electrolytes are also important since lack of carbs throws off your balance with them.

if you are gonna do 36 hours, do it like this.

16-8, from 12 to 8 PM, eat, after that start the clock.

24 hours later will be 8 PM next day

12 hours later will be again 12 PM next day, which is a feeding window your body is used to. break it and for the 8 hours eat well to make up for the lack of protein you went with.

anything past 36 is diminishing returns. ketosis might feel good initially, but chances are you are gonna crash unless your diet is very fat dense during eating windows and your body is used to fasting.

PSMF with refeeds is the optimal way to diet, especially when enhanced.
