I always felt happiest when my fellow students or coworkers just ignored me and acted like I didn’t exist and didn’t try to include me in things or try to befriend me. When you’re ugly and live your life in solitude, that becomes your comfort. You wanna stay there in that place of comfort and familiarity. Letting the beast loose could be a bad idea and would be extremely painful…..for you.
