What are PCL screw threads & general info about them
What are PCL screw threads:
PCL screw threads are bioresorbable, spiral shaped threads made from polycaprolactone, used in thread lifts to stimulate collagen and lift sagging skin.

Types of PCL threads:
  1. Mono threads
  2. Cog threads
  3. Screw threads

Mono threads:
Smooth sutures that help with brightness, skin elasticity, and skin rejuvenation by stimulating collagen production

Cog threads:
“These threads have barbs that latch into your skin like small fish hooks, to provide support and lift parts of your face.”

Screw Threads:
Made up of one or two intertwined threads, and these are used to help restore volume to sunken parts of your skin. As well as improve wrinkles.

1777674830712

Why PCL screws over PDO screws and PPLA screws:

1. Biodegradation period:
PCL’s last around 16-24 months, PDO’s last 6-8 months and lastly PLLA’s 14-18 months

2. Aesthetic Duration:
PCL’s last around 24-26 months, PDO’s last 6-12 months and lastly PLLA’s 18-24 months

3. Flexibility:
PCL’s out mog the other two in this category hard which is a good thing since we are doing the under eye which has thin mobilish skin

1777674830717

Why PCL threads over ha filler
Safety:
PCL threads are much safer than a filler which has a risk of a vascular occlusion which leads to necrosis and blindness.
1777674830724

Skill entry level:
Under eye Ha filler is a far harder procedure to do as compared to PCl threads. You need more anatomical knowledge for Ha filler and more advanced techniques.

Conclusion:
PCL screw threads are a great entry level diy for people suffering with hollow undereyes. No risk for a vascular occlusion is worth it.

How to diy
Needs:
  1. 25mm 30g PCL SCrew threads
  2. Alcohol prep pads
Optional:
  1. Topical lidocaine
  2. Arnica gel

1. Apply lidocaine and leave it on for 5 min, times up remove it with a tissue then disinfect area with the alcohol prep pads

2. Insert the PCL in a 45 degree angle like shown below, repeat the marking twice ( stay within the dermis and sub q layer )

1777674830730

1777674830738

1777674830744

3. In order to remove the threads, screw them while applying pressure to the needle tip directly through the skin. Then, slowly move them out while screwing.

4. Clean the site with alcohol prep pads and if you like add some arnica gel to reduce bruising risk.

Final note:
If you want deeper information then ask me and if this gets over 50 reps ill make a deep dive into these. I made this simple and digestible thanks to @TemporaryName . Don't let the simple guide fool you its good enough to perform this procedure.

Pcl's do cost more however that are way more effective, stronger, and last longer

Look at the price for 20 screws:

PDO is bad because we dont know if it causes fat loss (it could some studies have shown it does on like pig skin or some shit but idk if they have any with actual humans)

PCL doesnt have that risk and it lasts longer i believe

How would one go blind form a PCL thread? They don't cause vascular occlusions or anything that can really mess with blood supply ?

Theoretically,

you could DIY this: Put this on your zygos

it could lift your entire midface

giving you that snatched look

if that could work that would be insane DIY

Smooth sutures that help with brightness, skin elasticity, and skin rejuvenation by stimulating collagen production

Cog threads:
“These threads have barbs that latch into your skin like small fish hooks, to provide support and lift parts of your face.”

Screw Threads:
Made up of one or two intertwined threads, and these are used to help restore volume to sunken parts of your skin. As well as improve wrinkles.

Why PCL threads over ha filler
Safety:
PCL threads are much safer than a filler which has a risk of a vascular occlusion which leads to necrosis and blindness.
View attachment 4993695
