mainstream islam is much more strict and authoritarian than modern christianity. many muslims do not tolerate any criticism of their faith

ultimately i think islam will eventually soften and mellow down just like christianity some time in the future. i don’t think it will die out completely, but rather evolve into a more tolerant and open faith
