It's usually younger people and the reason they are like this is because nothing bad has happened in their life yet. They haven't experienced any pain or suffering so they are always happy and cheerful

I have this one colleague at work who is like that. Always positive and optimistic, looks forward to the most useless bullshit, like getting solar panels installed on his roof. The worst part is he always wants to make small talk, never had anything bad happened in his life. I just want to scream in his face.
