So I have maxillary recession and a forward mandible, due to the maxillary recession, my mandible looks less defined, but the bone is well developed, I had a lateral ceph done for it, this analysis is from that. I'm going to do double jaw surgery once I turn 18 in 4 months, I'm 17 now, I had aligners before this due to my teeth flaring, compensation for the recessed maxilla and I used to have a slightly recessed mandible too, the aligners broke for a while, and I had retainers for a slightly worse position due to it relapsing. Tell me what I should know about this surgery and how do I get it, who do I go to? And do I have to wear braces again to do it. Im in a place where I can get double jaw surgery for anywhere between 3k - 5.5k USD, so I don't want to waste this money, it's a lot of money to me, my dad's honestly seen me super depressed talking about the recessed maxilla so many times that he agrees to get me a surgery after an orthodontist told me I should.
