Why are the considered intimidating?
 
u mean upturned and because it gives an aggressive looking resting face
 
It can look good if rest of your face is good looking like Brad Pitt but if you are ugly then its death sentence.
 
Makes u look more assertive and intimidating
Also need to be low set or they just look retarded cuz they will make ur brows even higher set

brad pitt has low and straight set orbitals so its fine, but his eyebrows should come a bit closer to eachother imo
 
imagine having very nicely tilted brows but a horrible eye area

You can elevate your eye area with ptosis repair, and orbital rim implants. :) The end result should look similar to this:
