Downsides to finasteride?

I’ve always had a big forehead but now it’s undeniable that my hairline is definitely receding. I have finasteride but I’m hesitant to take it because of the possible side effects. Would I need to keep taking it for the rest of my life to keep my hair and how bad would you say my recession is? (Norwood 3?)

Ur a norwood 2 , as someone whos been taking finasteride since 18 (every other day 1mg) i say that the only side effect i experienced is pulsing balls for first 2 weeks and after that it faded out .

Only 1% experience side effects so dont fear it and start asap
