I’ve been on doxycycline since about the 27th of November and at the beginning I was taking half my dosage and my appetite seemed like normal but after taking the full dosage my appetite is close to zero and I’ve lost close to 3kg since the start. I’m just wondering if this is a normal side effect and should I sacrifice my physique for my skin or should I go back to half dosage or completely go off of it and wait until February to be prescribed accutane. If anyone has experience this lmk and does accutane do the same or no ?

have you tried retin-a yet? it sounds like it could be messing with your gut bacteria perhaps. not a good thing

I have a friend that can get me it but my acne is hormonal so would a topical work ? Don’t I need something like accutane that will stop the oil production?

Doxy is fucking garbage dude, ur acne will just come back after u hop off. Would suggest u to just use Accutane, it’s the way better systemic option

Alr I appreciate u bro cuz my ache has got better but imma go on accutane in Feb that’s when I next go to my dermatologist

Don’t really remember that much this was 2 years ago, lost a lot of weight cuz I was so depressed because of my acne so I can’t really tell u sorry brah

Were you using any topicals? (BP or Tret while on it? This is what typically "maintains" the skin after hopping off but idk how realistic thats gna be for me), my nigger derm won't prescribe me accutane when I asked and put me on doxy instead

Yea I was on Benzoylperoxid while using doxycycline and it literally was worse then before after I stopped using doxy
