About the growing pains I'm certain, about growth I'm not, because 1-2 cm is within the margin of daily fluctuation. Hell of a placebo if nothing else.

After waking up I would write on paper "I am 6'1" several times with focused intent. Then I would stand up, close my eyes and try to feel my body as if I was 6'1 already. I would avoid mirrors in order not to give my subconscious any contradicting feedback regarding my current size. The pains started on the second day of doing this, and sometimes they were strong enough to interrupt my sleep.

Should've extended the experiment further, but got distracted with other things and haven't gotten around to doing it again.
