Ever since I found this place, and even before, I've often dreamed about having a sort of `presence`. I never wanted to be the center of attention, I find it too exhausting. But everyone wants to be effortlessly magnetic, to elicit interest without even lifting a finger.
When you start to notice that some people command those types of reaction from others, you get obsessed. But one thing I`ve come to realize is: No one gives a fuck about you as much as yourself.
I’m probably one the worst compliment takers in this forum. I second guess anything nice people say to me, doesn’t matter who or what it is. This type of doubt is something that probably won’t go away, I’m just gonna have to live with it. It doesn’t matter if I become a 7 psl teramogger through some unforeseen miracle.
Point being: Even what you think that you want, you know in your heart it’s just a guess. Humans love to idealize scenarios just for them to get crushed in the end. Or worse, it actually happens, and you’re left feeling empty anyway.
I’m not advocating for absolute pragmatism or nihilism. But have the awareness to know that, whatever ‘last piece of the puzzle’ you think your life needs, will ultimately not fulfill you. I have no idea of how to find this 'peace', or how to extract real meaning from life. I believe we’re all just winging it.
The most important thing is: Do things in your own fucking terms. (aka Sinatramaxxing)
