Dude I have gaps in my teeth and I think Im gonna fix it with veneers buuuuut…..

This older dentist that I know has told me that I can actually get braces to fix my gaps,but my logic is telling me that if braces are pulling my teeth towards each other than my maxilla will get narrower during the process right?
