Barbell training was invented by autistic ugly gymcels who want to get validation from number amount of iron plates they can lift off the ground.

Dumbbell training is so much better in every way. Better ROM. Better for avoiding injuries. Better for stabilizing muscles. Better for aesthetics.

NO reason to use barbells instead of dumbells unless you are just mindlessly chasing high numbers on your lifts. There is zero reason to ever do heavy deadlifts or squats, injury risk is just far too high and honestly big quads just look like pure shit. Skipping leg day altogether is preferrable to having overtrained legs.

barbells make me lose a significant amount of height. 6.1.5 before i walk into the gym, 6'0.5 after im done, i lost a solid inch after heavy barbell training.

I haven’t barbell bench pressed in years since it used to fuck up my joints. For chest I only do dumbell press and cable flies and I pec mog most guys I know. People often ask me how much I can bench press and are confused as fuck when I say I never bench press.

That said I do prefer barbells for shoulder presses. And I like trap bars for deadlifts. JFL at guys who fuck up their backs doing heavy straight bar deadlifts.

i actually do barbell incline bench, but DB bench mogs so hard

The real answer is rotate doing both.
 
dumbbells are better from my experience especially as someone who likes training alone i dont fancy eating shit underneath a barbell and dieing a sub five

Mind muscle connection is pretty important for building muscle.

When i do barbell exercises i feel 0. Only a weight moving up and down.

With dumbbell i can more easily focus on contraction, really feeling the muscle work

It's not you routine made your chest big its your muscles insertions made your chest look big. You are chest dominant no wonder u chest mog most guys.
