Is there really any great benefit in taking 2.5mg of dutasteride instead of 0.5mg? I ask this because I live in Brazil and here it's not very difficult to get 0.5mg, but it's quite expensive, so taking 2.5mg a day It would be even more expensive.

I also want the skin benefits that dutasteride provides. I'm switching from finasteride 1mg to dutasteride 0.5mg. Can 0.5mg already produce good results in improving my skin?

Even at 5mg of dutasteride, let alone 2.5mg, the difference compared to 0.5mg is only about 4% in DHT suppression. This means it doesnt produce any visible change in both hair and skin

Sure 0,5mg can give good results and better than fin, 2,5mg still mogs it to death tho, go with 2,5mg if you can afford it

0.5mg should be enough, use 2.5mg only if you actually need it or if you are gonna blast steroids.

For skin do retinoids, don’t rely on Dutasteride. It won’t do much.

Does it really not produce any additional effects on the skin? Because I'm very sensitive to DHT, at 19 I already had a full beard, I'm very hairy and already have receding hairlines, and my skin is very oily.

And regarding dosage, is there any difference between taking it every day or 3 times a week?

And I also forgot to mention, you talked about steroid use, the use of 250mg, do you think 0.5mg of dutasteride is enough or should I increase it?

In all of the studies, increasing the dose beyond the standard 0.5mg only produces very small additional systemic DHT suppression, so the effect on skin oiliness body hair is very minimal. Being highly androgen sensitive only means u may experience stronger effects, not that higher DHT blocker doses will necessarily suppress DHT more.

You should take it daily to maintain a stable plasma concentration of the medicine, which allows it to work through its optimal mechanism of action. 3 days a week doesn’t achieve the same effect

Regarding hair loss, systemic DHT is not a good metric. The difference in scalp DHT between 0.5 and 2.5 is quite significant.
