A lot of you rotter's are experiencing hair loss and are swinging your dicks around messing with minoxidil without sorting out THE ACTUAL CAUSE of hair loss which is :

DHT. [Dihydrotestosterone]

DHT, a testosterone by product, attacks hair follicles in those genetically prone to baldness, gradually shrinking them until hair stops growing. Blocking DHT with medications like finasteride or dutasteride can prevent or even reverse this process.

BUT WHY SHOULD I TAKE DUTASTERIDE OVER FINASTERIDE?

Finasteride only blocks the Type II 5-alpha reductase enzyme, leaving about 30% of DHT in your system. Dutasteride smashes both Type I and Type II, wiping out 90%+ of DHT making it far more effective.

SKIN BENEFITS??!?!?!
Blocking Type 1 DHT (with dutasteride) can improve skin by reducing oily production and acne, since Type 1 5-alpha reductase is heavily active in sebaceous glands less DHT means less pore-clogging oil and inflammation.

DOWN SIDES/SEXUAL SIDE EFFECTS
After puberty finishes (around 18-21), blocking DHT only affects maintenance stuff like hair and skin not development making dutasteride/finasteride much safer with fewer downsides for adult men.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dutasteride's sexual side effects are rare at low doses (0.1-0.5mg) because it only suppresses DHT not testosterone and many men maintain normal sexual function as long as their estrogen levels stay balanced.

Dutasteride may help non-balding people by:

  • Reducing oily skin/acne (blocks skin DHT)
  • Potentially slowing collagen loss

STUDYS:
"Safety of dutasteride: Pooled analysis" (2016)

  • Side effects (like sexual dysfunction) were <5% and often resolved with continued use.

"Dutasteride improves male pattern hair loss in a randomized study of identical twins" (2014)

  • Dutasteride (0.5mg/day) outperformed finasteride (1mg/day) in hair count and thickness after 12 months.

*"5α-Reductase inhibitors improve acne vulgaris: A systematic review"* (2019)

  • Dutasteride (and finasteride) significantly reduced sebum production and inflammatory acne by blocking DHT’s stimulation of sebaceous glands.

Finasteride is actually often used even when someone is suffering from inflammatory hair loss mainly and not really aga as its effects on inhibited sebum production can benefit an inflamed scalp, although to a minor degree.

20 Would be a safe bet but if ur norwooding hard before that go 18
i'm genetically not affected by hairloss, but i do think that dutasteride is a great solution as you said past 20 for skin, collagen, and STILL preventing from hairloss

The inheritance of male pattern baldness is a complex genetic lottery

lmao. nuking DHT at 18 sounds like you WERE balding at 18 grey:lul::lul:

U might wanna read up a bit more. Dutasteride actually takes like 6 months to reach stable levels in your blood and fully suppress DHT. So if you're thinking about running a "short 6-month cycle," you won't even get the full DHT suppression effect during that time. :lul::feelswhy: tf u trynna cycle ✌️✌️

Wdym? It takes 2 weeks for dutasteride to obliterate every 5ar enzyme molecules out of existing

There is a difference between working effect and when it get stable in the blood
