Hey guys, just wanted to run an idea by y'all

I'v been taking finasteride 3mg/week, initally for my hairline.

But now that i've been on TRT+ for a couple months my acne has slightly returned.

For various reasons I can'y hop on accutane until after summer, so here is my plan:

I want to switch from finateride to dutasteride, as dutasteride will also reduce sebum production!

------------------------------------

Please let me know if this will actually work, especially if you have actual experience with this.
Because in an ideal world one would want to avoid Dutasteride, because yes it can absolutely do a number on you, if you are unlucky.

Please let me know, refrain from commenting if you have never actually done dutasteride, or directly heard good anecdotes about dutasteride for anti-acne

Thanks

yes it will help forsure but its not accutane, but regardless it will help like youre saying + it mogs finasteride for ur hair aswell.

or failing that, please recommend something other than accutane to reduce my sebum production.

okay thanks. yeh my acne isnt crippling just a few small pus spots (looksmin). so i think just a small boost will be enough.

Im still slightly worried about dut giving me suicidal thoughts tho lol

If you can’t use accutane until after summer (I assume because it’s too hot) then you can use topical retinoids like tazarotane, tret etc

And yes duta will definitely help with acne

im using tret already, but again its not ideal to be using in summer (i work outdoors 40 hours a week). also it doesn't seem to be doing much this far to help lol.

maybe dut is the way forward. whats one more pill in my stack lol

could this be run alongside tret, or would it fuck my skin barrier (i use tret when I can, for anti-aging)
best bet is adaplene and benozyle peroxide mix , totally removed my acne , ive been using it for 8 months now , very small dot for the whole face , once a week for maintenance now , check this brand called epiduo , very cheap , also in northern european and russia its called effizel , best thing for acne ive ever done especially if its not severe

depends on how much you use,
at one point i used a tretinoin and clindamyacin (mispelled ik) alongside adapaline and benzyl peroxide and antibiotics (lymecycline) and that kinda fucked up my skin barrier. but i was kinda retarded there.
i see no problem with slowly adding adapaline alongside tretinoin and tracking results

yeh but im prioritising tanning (with the help of mt2). and also even normallhy its hard to not get burned during trh summer working outdoors, so adding accutane is probs a bad idea. thanks tho

yeh tbf i dont think id risk it, skin barrier is life.

maybe ill microdose accutane tbf. i just need something to take the edge off, and reduce my sebum prodcution by 10% sort of thing
