A disclaimer to what im about to say is that im ginger, so my experience is probably gonna be a much more of an upgrade than others.
I started dying my brows and lashes dark almost a year ago, but I refrained from dying my hair because I thought it would be too much of a change, even though I hated the ginger. I’m also quite tan for a ginger so there was almost no contrast between my hair and skin, to the point where I would let my hair get all oily just so it would stick together and look darker.
Fast forward to today and I dyed for the first time this week and I’ve noticed a crazy difference just from how I see myself and how others speak to me. One of the first things I was told when I got to school is “holy shit it looks so much better” and “you actually look good now”.
It’s not just them though, I think it looks much better and I can actually look at myself in the mirror with a little confidence now, I’d recommend anyone who has an extremely light or coloured hair to go dark brown, or something that contrasts heavily with their skin.
