Now before you immediately dnr or start replying saying that this is wrong hear me out
For white women there is a good bit of variation regarding appearance due to different phenotypes resulting in there being multiple ways for them to be different looks levels.
A direct result of this variance in question is an increase in the nuance of one's type for said women. By this I mean that it is more likely for you to be picky and biased towards a certain type of white women, say a phenotype that you particularly like; finding other types less attractive.
This however does not plague East Asians anywhere near as much as most, especially to that of an outsider, will vary very little in appearance, relative to their looks level, as there is considerably less variation due to phenotypes in their appearance when compared to that of whites. This lack of perceivable variance I attribute to being exactly what creates non-looks-matched WMAF couples. How I like to say it in simple terms regarding attraction to Asian women is you either like them or you don't. And for htn+ guys who do like them they are way more likely to end up dating down without even knowing it because the variance between a mtb and a htb/stacylite East Asian is so low that to most people outside of said countries it is practically impossible to distinguish consistently.
To put this in unconvoluted terms, what I'm basically trying to say is that most people who do not socialize with other races are likely to be face blind in some sense to said races. This however matters much more for East Asians as their variance in appearance and facial features is in general much lower than almost every other group.
