To add some anecdotal evidence as well as some proven, I've seen a lot of asians in the US outgrow their parents/grandparents by 3-4 inches, as well just hearing that height in china is getting better as of better diet as well. My parents and grandparents grew up with pretty bad malnutrition, my dad hit 5'5 at his cap and I'm around 176 cm, so i think in current times there's certainly going to be higher averages for asian height.
