Monopolies are extremely hard to maintain. To maintain it's monopoly the US prints more money. This makes the quality of life worse for Americans. If the US continues to print money it will hyperinflate itself into collapse.

The US unironically needs to devolve responsibility to Europe (or CANZUK) if it wants to survive.
