Yeah when it's something you are going to be judged on make it natural, aka social skills, looks, w/e. You can't tell people you put effort in otherwise it makes you seem insecure. But for actual accomplishments, achievements, money related stuff tell everyone you did AS MUCH work possible. They like it when you put in effort into things you are passionate about but not when it actually betters yourself

accomplishments aren't real, from a status perspective, unless they are actually natural without you having to "make them seem natural"

if you have to "make it natural", then it's not natural and it will reduce your status, regardless of how successful you are at it
