I love Blue Lock, it's my favourite manga. I really love Blue Lock tackling the concept of ego types, talented learners, and geniuses.
Here is a quadrant chart of the different ego types.
Freedom types (Top) - Individuals with this ego type perform the best when they are given freedom.
Restrictive types (Bottom) - Individuals with this ego type thrive under pressure, restrictions, or any specific cross they have to bear.
Wholistic (Left) - These individuals observe the world and achieve success through logical application of best practices, strategy, and things that make sense if you think things through.
Individualistic (Right) - These people find satisfaction and achieve success through means that are entirely centered on them and their lived reality.
The right side consists of geniuses, the left consist of talented learners. If you're highly intelligent, you fall into these categories.
Geniuses = High fluid intelligence. Make their own formulas.
Talented Learners = High crystalized intelligence. Use the formulas of others.
Of course your ego type can change depending on the context you're put in and it is a spectrum. From my understanding, the best ego type would be Individualistic-Freedom, as you don't need as many external factors to perform well and you create. I'm for sure a freedom type that sits in-between wholistic and individualistic (individualistic leaning).
