What can I get away with as far as dress shoes?

I am looking at either 5cm or 6cm ADVERTISED boost. Does chamaripa fraud this?

Is this a true 5cm/1.95”?

I could also get the same shoe in 6cm/2.36”. I worry this is overkill though and will cross the line into being sus.

I currently rock:

(+2”) Air max 200 (+1.6) with a 0.4” insert.

(+2.3”) Timberland boots (~+1.6) with a 0.7” insert (I can get away with more because the boot is high top. A 0.7” in the air maxes makes my ankle slightly sus.)

Note that the “real boost” is approximately 1 and 1.3” as a normal shoe will be ~1”.

As you can see, the 5cm would be a very slight downgrade while the 2.36 would be even more than boots.

Anyway, I’m unsure if I should choose the 6cm or 5cm dress shoes. If they are as advertised, I’d probably choose the 5cm because I don’t want my ankle to be suspiciously high. However, if they are really 4cm vs 5cm, I’d definitely not want the 4cms. 1.95” is about the minimum boost I’d want.

Just don't bother, you're lowering your mobility and will have anxiety people may notice. Better to be a able to move better than be unbalanced with hardly any height increase

Its a dress shoe nigga. You think I’m going to a track meet?

Not with a 1.95” lift tbh

Autism. If I chose one with ‘hardly any height increase’ it wouldn’t noticeably make me unbalanced. The problems with mobility arise when you get greedy… not 2cm lol.
Are you even getting 2cm though, its more like 1.5cm or less and for what? For more instability

Do the 2.36in/5cm. Elevator shoes are advertised at the heel and dont give as much height. Rob paul has a good video on it. The 2.36in will give you about 1.6in in actuality. You should buy a 2.8in if you're looking for a 2in boost. I wear sneakers advertised as “3in” and they give 2in in actuality. I also put an insert in to reach ~2.6in, making me just over 6’ in shoes (i am 5’9.5” at night)
