Elliot was more humane than Lindsay Clancy

I feel like Elliot was way more humane than Lindsay as she killed 3 children by strangulation, which is one of the most painful ways to die. Not to mention that she did it to her own kids, while Elliot only harmed adults and used a gun and a knife. Both of those are quicker and more humane ways of killing. I cannot understand how people support her
