I think the best way to be happy is to truly embrace death
I mean you have to live as if you’re already dead
It sounds paradoxical but ever since I’ve tried it my life has changed
Initially I only tried it in martial arts. To remove fear and hesitation. Why am I worried about being punched or losing when I’m already dead?
But I’ve implemented it in other aspects. Why worry about social humiliation or rejection? Accept you’re a dead, outcast and imagine your body being feasted on by crows and maggots and your name being forgotten. Horrifying. But it frees you.
It’s connected to Mushin, which is having an empty and clear mind. Detach yourself from it all. Your mind needs to be like still water.
