Everyday, I see a new thread where people fight over Pashtuns and curries.
I think its time to put the end to the debate.
Personally, the reason why curries hates Pashtuns is because of Pashtuns tendency to hate on Punjabis and other ethnic groups in Pakistan. Calling them as Daalkhors, Cowards, Blackies etc
But why? Is it because of Pashtuns being proud of their retarded white color? No. Its because of how the Pakistani government treated Pashtuns.
Back in 1947, during first war between India and Pakistan for Kashmir, Pakistanis didn't have any army. The Punjabis weren't willing to fight for Kashmir. So the Pakistani government called on Pashtuns to fight for them. Pashtuns went over and fought hard against Indians and Kashmiris with their own weapons. Today, Pakistan having half of Kashmir thats called AJK is due to Pashtuns. Pashtuns took over half of Kashmir in that 1 month war.
After that victory over Kashmir, Pakistanis should have honored Pashtuns right? By giving them equal rights and stuff? Nope. Pashtuns areas like Peshawar,Quetta,Swat and other areas have always been neglected. The rest of the country had progressed too much that Pashtuns majority areas looked like backward cities compared to them. The Pakistani government and Army spent all of their budget on Provinces like Punjab. They gave nothing to Pashtuns. So some Pashtun leaders came forward and told the pashtuns about what Pakistani government is doing to them while how Pashtuns sacrificed their lives for Kashmir and other wars. This resulted in the production of the "Punjabis are cowards,black etc" stigma. Which still continues till today.
But this does not end here, in 2011, Bomb blasts were at high rate in Peshawar and TTP (PAKISTANI TALIBAN) had completely taken over Swat and were killing Pashtuns left and right, The Pakistani army or government didn't do shit about it. Everyday there used to be a bomb blast in mosques and hundreds of people would die everyday. It got so intense to the point, nobody would go out of their homes. Yet Pakistani government or Army (Mostly consisting of Punjabis) did not care. Until December 16, 2014, when the APS attack happened. 400 children were killed by TTP. Thats when Pakistani army took action by operation zarb-e-azab. The funny part is, if it was a normal school, Pakistani army wouldnt have cared but it was a school catered to children of army. Thats why they took action. They completely wiped out taliban in 2 years. Meaning Pakistani army could wipe out terrorism in Pashtun areas in matter of 2 years but they didn't want to. Thats another reason Pashtuns hated them.
U might wonder, its all due to Government and Army fault, why blame Punjabis. Its because, during those Eras, PMLN were reigning and they were Punjabis. Funding all of Punjab infrastructure. Same for army, army consisted of Punjabis mainly.
After that, A group rose to popularity among Pashtun youth called "Pashtun tahafuz movement" or PTM. Its leader was manzoor pashteen. For the first time, he spoke the line "jo ye dehshatgardi hai, iske peeche wardi hai" meaning "The army is behind the terrorism in Pakistan" and the Punjabis started to silence him. By not giving him media coverage and speaking against him, They even turned Pashtun youth against him because of the lies fed up to them by the media. He lost popularity, and thats when the army started to take actions. When the Pashtun youth were blinded. They kidnapped PTM supporters and PTM leaders. But it never came to light.
Fast forward to 2018, Imran Khan came to power. He was a Pashtun and he invested alot in Pashtun majority areas. Building new infrastructure. He was worshipped as a god among Pashtuns. Peshawar majority areas were his strongholds and he made peshawar progressive as fuck. To the point, Peshawar is ahead of Punjab now infrastructure wise. During 2022, Imran Khan got to know about the control Army had on the country and tried to depower them. Taking away their powers and stripping of their positions. The army did not like that and threw him out of government. Imran Khan exposed them and he got much more popularity.
During that time, PTM rose to popularity again by manzoor pashteen. Swat was being filled with terrorists again and manzoor pashteen leaked details about how TTP made Deals with Pakistan army. So he arranged a rally in Swat. Where everyone, even the Punjabis agreed that he is right, Army is behind the terrorism in Pashtun areas.
So the bottom line is, Pakistani government mainly consisted of Punjabis. Same for Army. They never supported Pashtun majority areas and let them rot, due to which Pashtuns started hating punjabis. Which is a right reason. Yet Punjabis in this forum ask us why do we hate them.
I dont support racism against Punjabis, but what they did to us Pashtuns is not good either. They portray us as violent,misogynists and murderers in their Movies with dumb urdu accent. Due to which Punjabis make fun of us
