if you say "can this be eaten" a few times then it sounds like German

can this be eaten
can dis be eaten

Not entirely untrue but German grammar is way more complex and changes from dialect to dialect. Even in HochDeutsch people pronounce words differently. Tbh german language is a mess.

Yes but English is a bastard language. Most of the words in the English dictionary are foreign words that were anglicised. Modern English has relatively loose grammar rules. Apart from a few strict rules regarding clauses and tenses, English doesn't have too many rules. English is very flexible and free flowing. Due to this English is sometimes spoken alongside a mix of native languages. Like many german teens speak denglisch which is a mix of german and English. Same for Hinglish. Hindi+ English. @Chadeep @imontheloose

isnt english like latin too

when i was learning latin there were a lot of cognates
60% of English vocabulary is from Latin or Romance languages. Like I said English is a hybrid language. There are lots of words from Hindi and greek in English too.

German is a subhuman language tbh
โ€œI work as a Donaudampfschifffahrtsgesellschaftskapitรคn :Dโ€

I went to Germany and I felt like I was having a stroke every time Iโ€™d see a board with German on it.

I wasn't translating it to german I was typing english in a way that made it sound german, if Kan Dis be is actually german that'd be funny

Basically all of Britain is a bastard country. Britain is a label given by the Roman invaders, England and English is a label given by the Anglo saxons invaders, London was created and named by the Romans, and many areas are named by the Germanic conquerors and many places were named by Vikings too, especially ones that end in -thorpe.

Those are compound words. German allows you to stack nouns together to form one big word Donau = Danube Dampf = steam Schiff = ship, Fahrt = journey Gesellschaft = company, Kapitรคn = captain. So it means Danube steamship company captain all conveyed in one word.

In terms of sound. I think Italian sounds very nice. All sentences rhyme together. French is also pleasant

Arabic is also nice tbh, but Iโ€™ve always found Spanish really weird sounding but maybe thatโ€™s because of all the ugly spics that speak it o weirdly outside of Spain. In Spain it sounded alright.
