Most learning it are probably interested in Korean culture and pick it up as a hobby. Many want to visit the country and knowing the local language always is a better experience. Also some might consume alot of Korean media and want to be able to understand without subtitles.

That was my point. Chinese is more useful, because a billion people speak it, business, plus if ur interested in languages, chinese can benefit you.

Koreans only genuine purpose is for those that are like korean music or korean shit. It serves 0 real purpose in life. And it's useless to know korean if u aren't living in korea.

Chinese is useful, because there's literal chinese people everywhere. Plus different countries speak it. If your in the business world, china is ur no.1 demographic.

I was comparing one asian language to another.

Both won't serve a European working an average job any purpose.

But people learning Korean are wasting their time, once the koreaboo train fades.


There's a reason why some rich white families will make their children learn a language like Chinese or Arabic. Because those languages easily open a door.
