English is unironically, literally magick. It's amazing. I don't know what the first 6 years of my life were because I was an unthinking Hispanic animal. I got introduced to English in primary school and ever since then I acquired an inner monologue and a rich imagination.
Also English follows gematria or something like that. Cba to research it rn. But everything about it is magical.

What level do you want to reach, eventually? Complete mastery?

You would probably benefit greatly from taking an IELTS/TOEFL exam and eventually a Cambridge exam down the line (because the latter one never expires, as opposed to the aforementioned other 2 exams, which are only valid for 2 years each), to give you an idea of your current proficiency.

I've already completed my TOEFL and IETLS exams and will be taking my Cambridge exam later this year.

English is my favorite language. It is just so damn easy to communicate in. It won't take you too long to learn.

You don't have to deal with too many silent letters or accents which you would encounter in other European languages. You don't have to write down or read some weird Asian symbols. You don't have to put a horizontal line on top of every single word like in Hindi. Instead, if you write cursive English (from left to right ofc), it will not only be easier and faster... but it will also look very very aesthetic and high class on paper.

Yeah but the total duration of the actual Cambridge exam is 240 minutes aka 4 hours lol, you're not at C2 level until you've actually completed and passed that exam (because you will be at C2 level for a lifetime if you pass it).

I know it even without doing any test, just state that the test online is bullshit if anyone have any temptations. also those tests are fucking stupid overall. in Japan some students don't pass the JLPT and some foreigns pass that after 6 months, some brute force that as fast as 3 months! lot of problems with those kind of tests.

Yes learning 15,000-20,000 words is easier than to learn a couple of grammar rules (that even i don't bother to look at and my grammar isn't perfect) if you believe this statement it's over for your brain. the only reason schools put so much emphasis on grammar is because they want to milk money out of students from this books.

The Germans and French sound funny like tryhards who attempt to exaggerate on syllables in order to sound more high class and flaunty with their speech jfl. Their words contain a lot of unnecessary letters which not only aren't ever pronounced as they are... but you won't even believe that they are in those words when you see the word written lmao. And much worse, Dutch speakers sound like absolute cock suckers.

I did a Cambridge Exam last year December and one before that actually, both related to a school course I took.

My school had a program and I did an exam before, the B2 First (FCE) in June 2018, where I believe I got a C1, I wasn’t too far off from C2 level, however. I lost that diploma though, no idea where I kept it.
Thankfully, I passed my CPE last year.

The test was relatively easy, I only had difficulty with the writing part, I was ill-prepared and didn’t properly practice the different writing styles one would have to implement on certain assignments.

To be fair, I only had 2 weeks of preparation because my teacher made a mistake and signed me up to do the exam in December instead of June (which is what I originally wanted).

Vast parts of the test you could very well do online, to be honest.

Only the speaking part would have to be in person.

You sit together with another person and are given some papers (with pictures) and need to talk for a few minutes, give some thoughts, respond to some questions they ask and just generally keep the conversation flowing without “uhhs, and hmmmms.”

I first thought it was bull you could naturally learn a language with just massive amounts of input due to immersion in the language (shows, movies, books, podcasts etc...) until I realized that’s how I learned English for the most part.

It does sound weird initally, its hard to wrap your head around the fact your brain can turn gibberish into something easily understood so long you consume enough of said gibberish.
