Hey, I have an appointment with an ENT doctor through a referral from my dentist who also specializes in airway and tongue ties. Here is a gpt summary of the referral to the ENT doctor listing my current issue that lead to my sleeping and breathing problems, along with a plan of treatment. Is there anything else I should ask or try and get done at the ENT doctor appointment.
My improvements to me knowledge for my face would be trying to position the mandible and maxilla more forward. Lengthening mandible. Widening maxilla (and the resulting increases mid face and under eye support). Increasing size/width of gonions.
Summary: "You have several mild airway restrictions stacking up: a slightly deviated nasal septum narrowing your right nostril, mildly enlarged adenoids and palatine tonsils, a recessed maxilla (upper jaw) and mandible (lower jaw), and a tongue tie (ankyloglossia) from a tight lingual frenulum. Together these push you into mouth breathing and disrupt your sleep, adding up to sleep-disordered breathing. The plan attacks it from several angles: an ENT handles the tonsils, adenoids, and septum; myofunctional therapy plus a laser tongue-tie release retrains your tongue and breathing; and maxillary expansion widens your upper jaw by opening the midpalatal suture."
